# The Fully Suited Cell — a S.T.A.M.P. Simulator
## As served

This directory holds the simulator as the site serves it. Everything below the
rule is the provenance record written when the artifact was built, kept verbatim.

| | |
|---|---|
| **Routes** | `/simulator/` (APP-07 on the hub) · `/simulator/provenance/` (this document, rendered) |
| **Artifact** | `index.html` — self-contained; React bundled inline; no external references |
| **Source** | `fully-suited-cell.source.jsx` — served beside the artifact, not built by this repository |
| **Licences** | Application code and written content: this repository's licences (AGPL-3.0-or-later / CC BY-SA 4.0). Bundled React: MIT, full text in `THIRD-PARTY-NOTICES.txt`. |

**The shell is the site's, the bundle is the build's.** `index.html` is not quite the
file esbuild emitted. Its hand-written shell — the `<head>` and a 34px chrome strip
carrying a link back to the hub and a link to this document — is maintained in this
repository, because an app reached from a portal needs a way back to it and the built
bundle has no opinion about the site it is embedded in. Everything inside the single
`<script>` tag is the build output, untouched.

That distinction is what the checksums are for. The bundle checksum is the stable one:
it is unchanged by any later edit to the shell, so it still answers "is this the build
that was verified?" after the chrome around it has moved. The file checksum answers the
narrower question of whether this exact page is the one described here.

**Checksums**

Raw bytes, md5. This repository does not reproduce the build, so the bytes it serves
are worth being able to check:

    bd1e07a9dc9cd229e04b625ba2d36c53 the bundle — everything between <script> and </script>
    d92b93d52a7df30dba369f39999664b5 index.html — that bundle plus this repository's shell
    9ff8acb0f56855e1f54b6b6b76810e87 fully-suited-cell.source.jsx

**Keep the file checksum current when you edit the shell.** It is the one number here
that a routine change invalidates — the two edits that added the chrome strip moved it
twice while the bundle checksum did not shift at all. Nothing enforces this; if the two
ever disagree, trust the bundle line and recompute the file line rather than assuming
the artifact was tampered with. `md5sum index.html` is the whole of it.

Recomputing the bundle checksum, which no standard tool does directly:

    python -c "import sys,hashlib; b=open('index.html','rb').read();       i=b.index(b'<script>')+8; j=b.rindex(b'</script>');       print(hashlib.md5(b[i:j]).hexdigest())"

**What the page does at runtime, established by inspecting the bundle.** It makes no
network requests and writes no storage — no `fetch`, no `XMLHttpRequest`, no
`localStorage`, `sessionStorage`, or `indexedDB`. A run lives in memory and ends
when the tab closes. Nothing about a player is recorded anywhere, which is why the
app has no privacy surface of its own.

**One discrepancy, recorded rather than corrected.** The header comment inside
`fully-suited-cell.source.jsx` reads `v13`; the build record below reads `v28`. The
comment was not kept current as the file was revised. The file is the source the
artifact was built from — the checksums above are the fact to trust, not the comment.

## What this is

An executable form of the Archiome Commons Manual. The player founds a
cell, hands the deck's forty cards to the people who arrive, holds the
balance between consolidation and fragmentation, runs the enterprise on
the graded draw, proves the Provident Society's two books, and divides.
The win condition is the manual's own: the founder's hand withdrawn, the
cell no longer needing the person who started it. It is built to educate,
not to challenge; a well-run cell wins, and the failure modes are
reachable only through the specific mistakes the corpus warns against.

## Mined from

| Mechanic | Source |
|---|---|
| Entry by bias audit and symbolic dossier; the interior never recorded | OPS-001, OPS-013, OPS-014, Ace of Hearts protocol (OPS-017) |
| The grade as a verified record of competence and conduct, nothing other; the grading body itself graded | OPS-018 (Ace of Spades), OPS-016 |
| The enterprise gated on the constitution ("no constitution, no business"); compensation denominated in the grade; the graded draw as a proportional share of revenue, never an absolute claim; operational splits authored by the cell within floors | OPS-019 (Ace of Diamonds) |
| Collective grade inflation as the load-bearing economic risk, checked by the outside-grader function | OPS-019, OPS-026 |
| Clubs sealed until the education gate; the right to perceive funded before exercised | OPS-020 (Ace of Clubs) |
| 6♣ as the gate within the gate: the reading turned on the movement before anyone else | OPS-040 |
| Deciding together: For / Against / Neutral, the neutrals' ten per cent veto | OPS-007, OPS-034 |
| Stewardship of the shared account; pooled capital stewarded, never owned; funded by operational surplus, never member savings | OPS-023, OPS-027, OPS-035 |
| Grading separated from directing; "the office everyone works toward" as a failure state | OPS-042 |
| The dossier-to-résumé rule; the comprehensive record as a failure state | OPS-030 |
| The non-profit wing funded from surplus | OPS-045 |
| Federation by division, never one cell commanding another | OPS-050 |
| The Provident Society: recovery underwritten rather than cash paid; nobody shed; standing never conditioned on legibility; the two books (insured and levied) kept and named apart, with bundling as the historic lie | OPS-055; From Premise to Polity, "The two books"; Leora Codex |
| Withdrawing the founder's hand as the arc and the win | OPS-059 |
| Cross-suit independence: no suit waits on another; sealed rungs name their own gates | Four Suits Progression |

## Constructions (drafter's inferences where the corpus is silent, ruled by the commissioner)

- The consolidation–fragmentation balance as a single measured axis, with
both edges fatal and a healthy band of ±30. The asymmetry rule —
*handing over decentres a centred cell; it does not fragment a
decentred one* — is a construction, adopted after simulation showed the
naive symmetric rule killed 84% of honest runs.
- Founder gravity scaling with the share of the deck still held.
- One card to a person (founder excepted); promotion cascading downward
by grade; suit chosen at the gate by the seeker's preference and the
  cell's vacancy.
- Life events ("pulled under") at ~5%/year per member; recovery priced at
$4,800; maintenance at the $800/week floor.
- The floor clause (draws topped to the wage floor from treasury above a
four-week payroll reserve) and the twelve-week founding grace. Neither
is in the corpus; both are how real organizations behave, and the
commissioner's brief was preparation for reality.
- The society operating six weeks before division is permitted.
- Face cards as offices of the network, held by cells and never persons,
one per cell, gated behind division. The corpus ends the ranked
progression at ten; this is an extrapolation in its spirit.
- Numeric tuning throughout (shift sizes, premiums, sweep rates) is
construction calibrated by headless simulation, not doctrine.

## Filtered out

- Per-rung procedural detail of the technics (each rung carries a single
  teaching line, not its Operation).
- The prerequisite external legal review of OPS-055 (named in the
  teaching text, not simulated).
- Persona work (OPS-015, OPS-056) beyond the capstone's name.
- All corporate-form material the manual itself removes from its sources.

## Calibration (reality anchors)

- **Wage floor:** $20/hour × 40 hours = $800/week, by commissioner ruling.
- **Churn:** volunteer sector retention ~65%/year (range 40–75%;
AmeriCorps/CNCS figures); paid nonprofit staff turnover ~19–21%/year.
Per-week departure risks compound to: sub-floor pay ≈ 45%/yr, stagnant
  grade ≈ 30%/yr, morale ≈ 25%/yr. Simulated whole-game median:
~8–24%/yr depending on management — a cell satisfying all three
conditions retains perfectly, by commissioner ruling.
- **Reserves:** operating reserve and charity threshold at twelve weeks
of upkeep (~3 months), per nonprofit best practice.
- **Verification:** every balance change adopted only after 300-run
headless simulation; final build completes 300/300 honest-play runs,
median 43 weeks, with all five failure endings reachable through the
  decisions that cause them.

## The failure endings and their sources

| Ending | Trigger | Source |
|---|---|---|
| The Founder's Hand | balance ≥ +85 | OPS-059 |
| A Cell That Was Only Pieces | balance ≤ −85 | OPS-057 |
| The Office Everyone Works Toward | grading-office pull ≥ 80 | OPS-042 |
| The Complete Record | dossier drift ≥ 80 | OPS-030 |
| The Instrument Without a Treasury | treasury ≤ −$9,600 | OPS-019 |
| The Fund That Lied to Itself | books merged, a maintained member, five weeks | OPS-055 / FPTP "The two books" |

Failure screens are labelled *"a failure from what was unaccounted for"* —
the player's blind spot, not the technic's second-order risk.

## Known limits

- The vote model is a satisfaction heuristic, not a deliberation model.
- The reinvested share of the operational split is folded into the ♦
rung multiplier rather than carried as its own line.
- Recoveries are rare at realistic event rates; the society is mostly
visible through its accounting, as real insurance is.
- Single-cell scope: federation is an ending, not a playable stage.
